It’s impossible to put into words the euphoria I am feeling at the moment. I know I never admitted this to anyone (except Cheryl) before I had nightmares of nobody showing up at Tie The Knot. Like I’m talking ghost town – echoes in the gallery – you could hear a pin drop nobody showing up. It was awful. And scary. And I’m so relieved that it didn’t happen.
Looking forward to getting the final tally but a good guess is that about 400 people walked through those doors today. The lineup before 10:00 am snaked around the hallway. It was amazing. I really couldn’t believe it. Our swag bags were gone by 11:30 am. All 200 of them. The workshop presentations were awesome and there were people actually listening and paying attention. Vendor booths were popping and visitors were plentiful at each and every one.
So far I haven’t heard any really horrible comments from anyone and hopefully it stays that way. Every single vendor booth we had looked awesome. Every single vendor worked well with one another. Every single vendor I spoke to gave us such positive feedback that I can’t even wipe the smile off my face. It really is a great feeling.
To all the volunteers, my friends and students from AC Event Management, to all the vendors and their associates, to all the swag bag donors, the prize contributors, to the Museum of Nature for having an amazing venue, to Brian Henry from Quality Entertainment for giving us awesome sound and music, to the Starfish team for co-ordinating the workshops and fashion shows and for well everything, to Ashton Station Bridal & Stephanie Davis Designs for their beautiful wedding gowns, to Thyme & Again and Tulips & Maple for their delicious eats, to BH Photography for taking our event photos and Eduardo Reyes for taking our video. – i can go on but i need to go to bed – THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
